Monarca Barbershop is a barber and beauty studio in Austin, Texas. This is their live website and online booking system.
The goal
A barbershop loses time to phone calls and missed messages. The site needed to let a customer choose a service, pick a barber and book in a few taps from their phone, while giving the shop an easy way to manage the schedule.
What the site includes
- Online appointment booking, with each service linking straight to the booking page
- Eight services with clear prices and durations, from classic cuts and beard trims to hot towel shaves and hair colour
- A barbers section showing each barber and their specialty
- A "Manage Appointment" page where customers can come back and change their booking
- Customer login and a separate staff login with an admin panel
- A reviews section where customers can leave a rating and a comment
- A bilingual interface, switchable between English and Spanish
- Address, phone, email and parking instructions for the Austin shop
- A mobile-first layout with a bottom navigation bar for Home, Book, Styles and Appointments
Design choices
- Dark green as the main colour, matching the shop's butterfly branding
- Prices and times shown before the customer starts booking, so there are no surprises
- A short, personal About section that explains the Monarch butterfly idea behind the name
